Welcome to Three Degrees.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Three Degrees website (threedegrees.co), mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using Three Degrees, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. About Three Degrees

Three Degrees is a curated membership network that introduces trusted individuals for home rentals and home swaps.

Our role is to provide introductions only. Our involvement ends at the point of introduction. All communications, negotiations, agreements, payments, stays, swaps, and any other arrangements that follow an introduction are made solely between the members concerned. Three Degrees is not a party to any such arrangement, and facilitating an introduction does not make Three Degrees an agent, broker, representative, insurer, or guarantor of any member.

The platform enables members to:

  • Create profiles
  • List properties
  • Discover homes within their extended network
  • Request introductions to, and communicate directly with, other members

Three Degrees does not:

  • Own, manage, operate, inspect, or control any property listed on the platform
  • Verify the existence, ownership, condition, safety, or legality of any property
  • Facilitate, process, or hold payments between members
  • Act as a booking agent, letting agent, broker, or estate agent
  • Provide insurance of any kind
  • Guarantee, endorse, or underwrite any rental or swap arrangement

We operate solely as a digital introduction platform.

2. Eligibility

To use Three Degrees, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Have the legal authority to rent, list, or swap any property you upload
  • Comply with all laws and regulations that apply to you and to any property you list, in every relevant jurisdiction — including local rental, short-let, licensing, registration, zoning, tax, and visa or immigration requirements

Members are solely responsible for determining what laws apply to them and to their arrangements. Three Degrees does not advise on, monitor, or verify legal compliance in any jurisdiction.

Membership of Three Degrees is by application and approval. Approval is a discretionary decision about fit with the community, made on the basis of information provided by the applicant. It is not identity verification, a background check, a credit check, or a criminal records check, and it is not a representation, warranty, or guarantee by Three Degrees as to any member's identity, character, honesty, conduct, solvency, or suitability. References to members being “vetted,” “curated,” or “trusted” describe the nature of the community and the application process, not a verification service. Members must verify for themselves the identity and suitability of any member they deal with.

We reserve the right to refuse membership or remove users at our discretion.

3. Membership and Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring your profile information remains accurate

Three Degrees may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Provide misleading or false information
  • Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe behaviour
  • Damage the integrity of the community

Membership fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

4. Property Listings

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to list the property
  • The information provided is accurate and not misleading
  • The property complies with all applicable laws and regulations in its jurisdiction
  • Any required landlord, leaseholder, mortgage lender, building, or regulatory approvals have been obtained

Three Degrees may review, edit, enhance, or reject listings. Any such review is editorial only, carried out to maintain the presentation and quality of the platform. It is not, and should not be relied on as, verification or inspection of any property. We do not verify that any property exists, that it is owned or controlled by the member listing it, or that any listing is accurate, and we make no representations or warranties regarding the existence, condition, legality, safety, or suitability of any property.

Members must satisfy themselves on all of these matters before entering into any arrangement.

5. Member Interactions

All communications, agreements, and arrangements between members are made directly between those members. Three Degrees is not a party to them and has no obligation to supervise, mediate, or enforce them.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Three Degrees accepts no responsibility or liability for:

  • Rental or swap agreements, or any failure to perform them
  • The existence, condition, safety, or legality of any property
  • Property damage
  • Personal injury (subject to Section 10)
  • Theft or loss
  • Payment disputes
  • Cancellations
  • Misrepresentations by members
  • Fraudulent activity by members
  • Any interaction between members, whether on or off the platform, including in person

Members are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any arrangement, including verifying the identity of the other member and the existence and condition of the property.

We strongly recommend:

  • Written agreements between parties
  • Appropriate insurance coverage
  • Documentation of property condition before and after stays
  • Clear communication prior to stays

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Where Three Degrees offers paid memberships:

  • Fees are disclosed prior to purchase
  • Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel in accordance with the cancellation policy displayed at the point of purchase
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice

Membership subscriptions are processed by third-party payment providers (including Apple, where purchased through the App Store). Three Degrees does not process, hold, or facilitate rental or swap payments between members. Any payment made by one member to another is made entirely outside the platform and at the members' own risk.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes
  • Post misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other members
  • Circumvent membership fees
  • Scrape, copy, or commercially exploit platform data
  • Attempt to interfere with platform security

Violation may result in immediate removal from the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, logos, design, and technology belong to Three Degrees or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of content you upload (such as photos and descriptions), but grant Three Degrees a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate, improve, and promote the platform.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free access
  • We make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or safety of any listing, member, or arrangement

The Services depend on third-party providers (including app stores, payment processors, email delivery, and hosting services). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of any third-party service.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country in which you live, where those rights cannot be waived by contract.

Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Three Degrees shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
  • Property damage
  • Personal injury
  • Any act or omission of any member
  • Disputes between members
  • Anything occurring after the point of introduction, including any stay, swap, or arrangement between members

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Three Degrees in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Release

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you release Three Degrees, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, demands, and damages of every kind, known or unknown, arising out of or connected with your interactions with other members, any property listed on the platform, or any arrangement made following an introduction on the platform.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Three Degrees, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or legal fees arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your listing or property
  • Your interactions or arrangements with other members
  • Your breach of any law or regulation in any jurisdiction
  • Your violation of these Terms

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@threedegrees.co.

Sections 8 through 12 and Section 16 survive termination.

14. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may benefit from any mandatory provisions of, and rights to bring proceedings under, the law of that jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid in any jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Three Degrees regarding the Services, and supersede any prior statements, communications, or representations, whether made on the platform, by email, or elsewhere. No introduction, message, or other communication from Three Degrees creates any obligation or warranty beyond what is stated in these Terms.

Force majeure. Three Degrees is not liable for any failure or delay in providing the Services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services, internet or telecommunications failures, and acts of government.

Assignment. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer your membership or any rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The updated version will be indicated by a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
